90 Day Turbofire Results

Hey everyone! I am done with my 1st 90 day challenge of Turbofire! I am pleased with my results but I am still a work in progress! I lost 16 pounds and a total of 9 1/2 inches off my body. Not to mention I went down 3 pant sizes. I feel the best I have felt in a very long time! You might wonder what I ate. If you haven't ever heard of clean eating, you should do some research. It is a way that you can still eat the things you love  by making them healthier. Example: spaghetti- natural spaghetti sauce, ground turkey and whole wheat pasta! Voila! that was easy. Clean eating is not one of those fad diets that you literally starve yourself! That is not good for your body because it goes in to starvation mode. Clean eating is breakfast (shakeology), a snack, lunch, a snack, dinner and an optional snack if you are still hungry. You need to eat every 2 1/2-3 hours. And make sure you drink plenty of water!!! That's the main thing! Shakeology has been my saving grace. I was without it for a few weeks and I stopped feeling amazing and stopped loosing inches as fast as I was. It is the healthiest meal replacement shake on the market right now. It is equal to 5 trips to the salad bar. Some people look and the price and say no but this is your health you're investing in! It breaks down to a little over $4 a meal. When is the last time you went to lunch and spent $4 or less?! I can't do that! If you want to know more about shakeology, clean eating or Turbofire, send me a message and we can chat! Or just friend me on facebook! Have a great week :)

Week 6

Happy Monday! I am so excited to start week 6. We are halfway there. I am still trying to drink more water! I won the 30 day prize in my challenge group for having the best transformation. I am so honored! I love inspiring other women! I was craving something crunchy today so I cured the craving with zucchini chips. I will attach the recipe for you to try! I hope everyone has a great week :)

Zucchini Chips

Ingredients:
- ¼ cup homemade bread crumbs (Panko)
- ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese (optional)
- 1/8 tsp black pepper
- heaping ½ cup whole wheat flour
- 1 cup cold milk ( I use almond milk)
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 ½ cups sliced zucchini (about 2 small zucchini’s)

Preparation:
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees
2. In a medium bowl combine breadcrumbs, cheese (if using), and black pepper
3. In a separate bowl add flour, milk and vinegar. Gently stir until combined but do not overstir.
4. Dip zucchini slices in flour mixture then dredge in breadcrumb mixture
5. Place coated zucchini slices on a baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes flipping the slices over once halfway through cooking or until brown and crisp.

Notes:
These chips are best eaten right out of the oven. They don’t save well.

These are prefect to bring to a party, use in speghetti with whole grain noodles, or cut up and throw in a pita for lunch. These are so good and easy to make.

The Eat Clean Diet

The Eat Clean Diet

Reading The Eat Clean Diet Recharged by Tosca Reno was the best thing I ever did for myself. She really breaks down the importance of eating clean and exactly how to do it. It's a great book and if you haven't gotten your hands on this baby yet ... DO IT NOW!!! Fire up the ol' Nook, Kindle, Ipad, Iphone and download it ... or do it the old fashion way and head to the book store. I promise it's worth it.

So, if you are new to clean eating I'll break it down for you. Eat 5-6 small meals a day every 2-3 hours. This keeps your metabolism going and burning calories all day long. If you go long periods of time with out eating then your body will going into starvation mode and everything you eat beyond that point will be stored as FAT! Who wants that!??! Not me! I choose to EAT!!! We all love to eat ... Crash Diets do NOT work ... Our body needs fuel to keep going! Eating healthy, small meals through out the day is the way to go. You will feel like you are eating way to much but the key is that since you are eating more quality food you can have a bigger quantity. Amazing huh?

Another important factor in eating clean and staying healthy is to drink plenty of water through out the day. This is super important. If you don't drink enough water then your body will begin to confuse thirst for hunger. It doesnt' know the difference. Water is the most crucial nutrient in life. Your body is made 60% of water and needs it to stay hydrated, for muscle recovery, digestion, and satitation. You may make a few more trips to the potty but ... It's worth it.
How much water should you drink daily?

The average women should drink about 2 - 2.5 Liters of water a day!! WHOA THAT'S A LOT!! You will see how much better you feel once you are actually drinking water your body has been craving. Do it .... I dare you.

The average man should drink about 3 Liters a day.

Your Urine should be clear and odorless every time you take a pee :) Just thought I'd add that in there! It's true. So when in doubt ... check out your pee!

Here are some tips in getting into the habit of drinking more water :

1. Start Early. As soon as you wake up drink a bottle of water. Keep it on your night stand so the first thing you do is grab the bottle of water and down it. This will get your metabolism going and start getting things moving.

2. Drink 2 cups of water with each meal!! 2 cups at breakfast, 2 cups at lunch, and 2 cups at dinner. This will knock 6 cups out of the way.

3. Drink water during your workout!! This is OBVIOUS .. but so very important. You need to replenish your body as it sweats.

If you aren't a fan of water there are ways that you can make it a little tastier with out adding in calories or sugar. Every time I go out to eat with my family I order a big glass of ice water with extra lemon. I love lemon water. It's so good and amazing for you and it's FREE! Who doesn't like something that is FREE. Squeeze lemon into your water and it will give it more flavor.

So there you go!! A few tips to take with you ....
